My favourite part was taking the video on slide seven and learning how to do the experiment.  Now my mum even wants to do the experiment that we did with the egg.

Animal habitats

I was learning to sort animals into their habitats.  I know that different animals go in different habitats.  It was easy because I know that animals have their home somewhere e.g sky= birds, water=fish, land=kiwis and pigs. I  read books  and issue  non-fiction books from the library.   

Measure and Estimate

I was learning to measure and estimate lengths.  I know that you only measure with the cm not the inches.  I also know that you can use non-stranded units like your hands and feet. It was easy because I use a ruler and line the object up to 0 and see what number is on the other side.

Matariki

I made a Matariki star with wool on a paper plate.  Firstly I practised some designs in my sketch book.  When I was doing my designs I had to really  think about it.  I had to redo some of the star designs but I still thought they were all pretty. The colours I put on my star were pink, black, rainbow, blue and green.

Summarise beginning, middle and end

I was learning to Summarise the beginning, middle and end. Now I know how to summarise using my own words.  It was tricky because I didn't know how to just get the main parts.

I was learning to add bonds to 100.  I know that the tens need to add up to 90 and the ones need to add up to 10.  It was easy because I knew a trick with the numbers. So if the question is 75+            =100

The Buddhist Temple Trip

I went to the Buddhist Temple and it was so fun and it was huge.  I had a fantastic time there and I hope I go there again.

I know to search for capital letters and fix them. It was easy because I could see the mistakes  when I got them and I fixed it above the wrong one.

Make Inferences

I was learning to make inferences and make a guess using the clues. Now I know how to make a guess by looking at the clues when I feel like I need it.  It was easy because I learnt how make a guess for my activity.

Use Place Value With 3 Digit Numbers

I was learning to use place value numbers.  I learnt to match the hundreds, tens and ones.  It was easy because the blocks helped me.

My Welcome Post 2018

Welcome to my Year 4 learning blog.  This year I am in room 12 and my teacher is Miss Lister.

I enjoy maths because I learn new things and it is really fun.This year I am looking forward to
